We are pleased to announce a new addition to the Rooted team! Lynn Trinh, RMT will be working Monday afternoons and Tuesday mornings and is accepting new clients!

Lisa has always had a fascination with the human body. Being an elite athlete in high school, she understood from an early age the importance of feeling strong and happy in her body and was shown how different therapeutic modalities greatly aided her recovery from injury. This interest brought her to the University of Calgary where she completed her Bachelors in Kinesiology. With this degree, she worked alongside a physiotherapist developing treatment plans and teaching exercises to clients. Throughout the years, Lisa traveled through Asia and Latin America and experienced firsthand how health and wellness is understood in other cultures. She began practicing yoga, meditation, breathwork, mindfulness - realizing that there was much more to health than the physical body. Lisa prioritizes living a balanced life, where physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health must all be addressed equally.

Eager to learn more and get more hands on experience, Lisa attended the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy and became a Registered Massage Therapist in 2017. She loves massage therapy because she is able to build a relationship with her clients and educate them on how to take control of all aspects of their health. Her treatments focus on calming the nervous system and treating the body as a whole with Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point release and dynamic stretching. Lisa likes to create a treatment plan that focuses on getting her client back to what they call their normal, whether it’s playing a sport at an elite level, walking their dog daily or playing with their grandchildren without pain. How we live our life and carry out our passions is important, and Lisa is here to help her clients get back to what makes them happy!

Lynn graduated from the rigorous 3000+ hr Registered Massage Therapy program at Kootenay Columbia College of Integrative Health Sciences in 2023. She was first introduced to massage when she learned Shiatsu in 2018. Since embarking on the path to become a RMT, her current approach now weaves in a variety of techniques including trigger point therapy, myofascial release, joint mobilization, deep tissue, Swedish relaxation and active release techniques.

Lynn is led by genuine curiosity and enjoys treating a variety of body types and health conditions. Being an active person who loves to snowboard, climb, dance, hike, bike, and practice yoga, she is backed by a sound body awareness and understanding of recovery. She just spent the 23/24 winter season massaging at backcountry snowcat lodge, Baldface, which included massaging pro snowboard athletes and gaining valuable experience in targeted sports recovery massage.

Above all, Lynn recognizes that everyone is unique and is able to adapt each massage to address your needs. She incorporates deep presence and listening through her touch, to tune into your body’s current needs and responses as they arise.
